Bloom gynecology can help you decide if minimally invasive surgery is the right option for you.
Minimally invasive surgery can help fix common problems many women experience today. At Bloom Gynecology, our gynecologist – Dr. Sara Northrop – performs several types of minimally invasive surgery after fully consulting with her patients and being totally sure this is the right option. Types of minimally invasive surgery Dr. Northrop can do include:
Myomectomy—Uterine fibroids can be very painful and cause issues with fertility. This type of operation removes the fibroids while still leaving the uterus intact.
Hysterectomy—During a hysterectomy, the uterus is removed. This procedure can also include removal of the cervix, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.
Laparoscopy for pelvic pain—If you struggle with ongoing pelvic pain, a laparoscopic procedure may help you find relief.
Tubal ligation—Also referred to having your tubes tied, a tubal ligation involves cutting, tying, or blocking the fallopian tubes to prevent future pregnancy. We can also remove the fallopian tubes completely, as this can reduce the risk of ovarian cancer.
We know that undergoing even a minimally invasive surgical procedure can be disconcerting. Before the operation, we will make sure you feel fully prepared and confident about what you are about to undergo. Our entire office promises to take great care of you before and after the procedure.
If you believe you are a good candidate for any of these surgical options or other options we can offer, or you have any questions about moving forward with a procedure, we are always here for you.
